Oktoberfest Halifax Tickets Now On Sale

     Tickets are now on sale for the "Oktoberfest Halifax." a fall celebration in Historic Downtown Halifax from 6 to 10 p.m. on October 10th at the Town of Halifax Farmer's Market.  According to Halifax Assistant Manager Denise Barksdale, the event and evening includes live music with Halifax's own "Burn the Batteaux" featuring David Martin, Adam Snow, Donnie Beadles, Mike Cole and Brad Thomasson specializing in blues and  soulful rock music.

     Tons of fun all including a variety of food, craft and domestic beers, wine, souvenir beer mugs, a German Theme adult Costume Contest, corn hole toss and more at "Oktoberfest Halifax".  An indoor kids' zone will feature a root beer garden, kids' crafts, pumpkin painting contest and more.

     Tickets to the Oktoberfest are $5 in advance, $7 at the gate and $1 off in German costume, kids 12 and under free.  Tickets can be purchased at The Packhouse, Hite Insurance, Peddlers Market, Benchmark Community Bank, Trent Law Practice, Foster Fuels-Blairs location and Halifax Town Hall.

     Anyone interested in volunteering for the event may contact Denise Barksdale at 434-476-2343 or Marsha Hite at 434-476-2164.  All volunteers working a two-hour shift will receive a meal and beverage ticket plus one free beer stein.  "Thanks in advance for your help," Barksdale said.  She also expressed appreciation to early Oktoberfest sponsors Reiter and Reiter, PLLC, Burnett and Sneed CPAs, LLC, Benchmark Community Bank, Sentara, Franklin's Garage, The Packhouse, Molasses Grill, Hite Insurance, Halifax Village Association, Town of Halifax and Town of Halifax Farmers Market.
