May 2nd Plant Sale Will Not be Held

May 2nd Plant Sale Will Not be Held

The Southside Master Gardener Association Plant Sale that was to be held on May 2nd at the Halifax Extension Office grounds will not go on as scheduled. The Master Gardeners want everyone to stay safe and comply with the stay at home order issued by Governor Northam.   If other opportunities open up in the future, we will make you aware of them through the news media, the website and email.

If you have gardening questions, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Right now staff is not available to answer your phone calls personally. You will receive a response if you leave a message with a phone number, just practice a little patience awaiting a callback. The Master Gardeners are considering other options to get horticultural information out to the public.

Also, the April 18th Shiitake Mushroom Workshop has been canceled. If conditions are back to normal, expect a workshop to be held in spring 2021. When things return to normal expect to see the Master Gardeners “in all the old familiar places”. Stay safe and wash those hands!
