The Town of Halifax invites residents, business owners, and stakeholders to take part in a Community Walking Visioning Tour, Tuesday, July 28, from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, beginning at Halifax Town Hall, 70 South Main Street.
The tour will give participants an opportunity to share ideas for vacant and underutilized properties and envision a future downtown Halifax that reflects the community’s values, needs, and aspirations.
This event is a key component to the Downtown Inventory + Real Estate Development Strategy project with nationally recognized consultant, Place + Main Advisors. This project is a comprehensive effort to revitalize downtown areas across Virginia Main Street communities, including the Town of Halifax, aiming to identify development opportunities, analyze market conditions, and attract investment by creating a data-driven redevelopment strategy.
This project was made possible through the support of the Commonwealth Regional Council, Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission, Virginia Main Street, Virginia Housing and Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.
